A Message from an Autonomous Individual Regarding the Legality of Marijuana

This is a message from an Autonomous Individual to the President, members of the federal government and state governments.

I find this bickering over whether it will be federal “authority” or state “authority” that will decide whether the people may use marijuana to be both ridiculous and insulting.

Let me clarify this issue for you, since the issue itself seems to be lost in ego-posturing.  The people who have the ultimate authority to decide whether the people smoke, ingest or grow marijuana are the people themselves.  This is an individual choice, not a state or federal choice.  I find it both ironic and suspicious that president Obama would claim to understand and uphold the personal health choices of women over their own bodies and yet somehow not do the same for all citizens.

I’m going to make this even clearer for you.  Whether I partake in marijuana is my own choice.  I personally have taken this choice out of your hands as you’ve proven to be unfit to make it.  The people are not in your hearts if you’ve chosen so blatantly to ignore their wishes.  Many others have taken this choice out of your hands, but you have chosen not to hear them.  You have chosen to lock them up as if your own opinions on the subject were somehow more important than their lives, families and freedoms.

To add insult to injury, it seems that your friends in the United Nations are trying to convince you to continue your unlawful persecution of farmers and peaceful participants.  If you would promptly tell them that the individual people here are none of their concern unless we the individual people actually ask for their opinions, I for one would greatly appreciate it.

I am going to let you in on something that I don’t keep a secret, anyway.

I partake in marijuana.  I am going to continue to partake in marijuana.  I am going to bake it into cookies and brownies when I have enough.  I am going to brew it into tea.  I am going to occasionally smoke it with my friends, though I try not to smoke too much.  I may even grow it.  And if I don’t grow it, I will certainly buy it.

It is my hope that I and others like me can buy so much of it, that we can support the market to the point that for every cultivator you lock away, three hundred more can take their place until you each finally realize who these choices belong to and until you finally realize that no one is going to put up with your posturing on the issue any longer.

Sincerely,

An Autonomous Individual who no longer consents to be governed by ego-centric, power-hungry strangers.

Declare Your Self-Sovereignty

Never expect those who rule to do right by you. They will only do right by their own rule. Instead, realize that they believe themselves to be owners of you, and realize that you do not have to consent to your own enslavement. Overthrow these rulers who seek to instill authority to themselves in your mind. Overthrow them and realize that you are your ultimate authority, that you are an equal
ruler to them in all things. Overthrow these rulers who seek to own others. Realize that their power only exists in the imaginations of the people they seek to instill fear into. Realize your power, your freedom, your rights, your sovereignty over yourself. Overthrow the powers that seek to suppress the natural equality of all life. Overthrow them and speak as an equal. Overthrow them and be an equal.

Overthrow them, and take back your life and freedom and ownership of yourself.

Overthrow them.

Peacefully, of course.

People who do not seek to destroy freedom have nothing to fear from the free.

Beccy's Blog: Survey One Answers

I have been asked by a grad student in the UK to take part in a gender relations survey. She has given me some controversial questions to give my full opinion on, and I have done so to the best of my abilities. I may have taken the project too seriously, as the video response that I've created is 34 minutes long...and is only part one of the entire project. I am being asked to answer three different surveys, and this is the first.

A list of my sources will be found at the bottom of the page.

I mention the theory of the existence of prehistoric Matriarchal religions revolving around the figure of a Mother-Creator Goddess. Elaboration on this theory can be found in this book:

Stone, Merlin. When God was a Woman.

No Sidewalks in Georgia

The State of Georgia is notorious (at least among its citizens) for a lack of common sense in public transportation.  But before tackling big issues like its constant deadly traffic, its horrendously inefficient but expensive public transit system or its lack of bike lanes, let’s talk about how ill-equipped it is for the most basic forms of traffic – foot and wheelchair traffic.

Outside of the Atlanta area, or outside of what Georgia calls “the perimeter,” there are dozens, even hundreds of heavy-traffic areas (car and pedestrian traffic alike) with absolutely no sidewalks.  Civilians on foot and in wheelchairs are forced to walk or try to roll across rocky ground, or walk or roll in the street with cars passing by at speeds of 45 to 60 miles per hour right next to them.

What’s wrong with walking on nothing but a dirt path, you might ask?  Well, not only does that leave disabled individuals stranded in their homes and without the independence to so much as go down the street for some milk without having to rely on a car or someone with a car, but oftentimes, as shown in the video, so little consideration is given to pedestrians that bushes, mailboxes, fences and other obstacles are put in the only available pathway, forcing those pedestrians to walk in ditches or in the road to get around them.

This is the very first level of the calamity that is Georgia public transportation.  The choking traffic that cripples the city and the surrounding area every day isn’t much of a surprise when you think of all the people who have to invest in buying cars just to make it safely to the nearest bus stop.
